DION BEEBE, ASC, ACS

Dion Beebe, ASC, ACS is an acclaimed Australian–South African cinematographer celebrated for his distinctive use of stylized, highly saturated color palettes and his pioneering work with high-speed digital video, most notably on Michael Mann’s Collateral and Miami Vice. He received his first Academy Award nomination for Rob Marshall’s Chicago, and later won the Oscar for Memoirs of a Geisha, a film that also earned him both the BAFTA Award and the American Society of Cinematographers Award for Best Cinematography. He has received a second BAFTA for his work on Collateral. A frequent collaborator of Rob Marshall, Beebe has also worked with renowned directors such as Jane Campion, Michael Mann, Ang Lee, and Michael Bay, building a diverse and visually striking body of work across both film and digital formats.
